MV Camic has a 27 meter length overall and caters to only 14 divers.  This allows more space on deck, per passenger, than many other vessels in the region.  MV Camic departs in the evening and sets out for a 4 day and 4 night cruise to the Similan and Surin National Marine Parks with 15 dives at world famous dive sites such as Richelieu Rock, Koh Tachai, and Koh Bon!  Large pelagics, including manta rays and whale sharks, are regular visitors to this region of the Andaman Sea.  MV Camic's trump card is the dive staff which have been working on this boat for over a decade and have thousands of dives in the region.  English, Swedish, and Thai languages are spoken fluently by the core dive staff that return to work on Camic year after year.

MV Camic amenities include a patially covered sundeck, indoor air-conditoned salon, and outdoor dining area.  The comfortable salon has a TV and DVD/VCD/MP3 player for entertainment or sharing the day's diving photos. There are three master cabins with double beds and four twin cabins with bunk beds.  All cabins feature daily housekeeping, air-conditioning and en-suite bathrooms with hot water showers.  Reef safe toiletries are included for your usage.  International and Thai food is served as a delicious buffet in the outdoor dining area for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  Snacks, fruit, water, tea and coffee are available as well throughout the course of the day.  On top of her creature comforts, MV Camic is fitted with emergency oxygen, First Aid kits, life vests, emergency rafts, search lights, VHF/DSC/SSB radio, GPS, and fire alarms and extinguishers for your safety.

MV Camic's dive deck amenities include freshwaster rinse showers, camera wash bins, as well as plenty of space for prepairing your dive equipment.  Weights and belts are included for your use.  Aluminum 12L tanks with Yoke style valves are standard.  DIN to Yoke adaptors, partial or full equipment sets, torches, 15L tanks, and dive computers are available for rent.  Optional Nitrox is available onboard on a per tank basis or as a 15 tank package.  Additional SCUBA diving-specific insurance can be purchased as well if you don't already have coverage.

Unlike some liveaboard booking websites, Funky Monkey Dive & Tour has a dive shop and staff on the ground to assist you before and after your arrival your arrival in Thailand. The vessels operating in the Surin and Similan Marine parks fill up with bookings quite early, so it is best to book long in advance in order to secure the cabin and trip date that you prefer.

MV CAMIC

Join our Similan liveaboard MV Camic and dive the best Similan and Surin Islands have to offer. The MV Camic is a modern steel hull liveaboard design 27m in length. Currently, the boat offers two cabin choices; Master cabins (double bed) or Twin Bunk cabins. All cabins are ensuite with hot showers and air-conditioned. Full charter available at request.

Review the latest MV Camic liveaboard schedule.

Whereas the MV Lapat offers daily transfers, the MV Camic offers dedicated dive safaris to the Similan Islands. This ensures the entire boat remains dedicated to its liveaboard customers. If you like relaxing and enjoyable dive trips then the 5D4N trip will ensure you see all the best sites in both the Similan and Surin Islands in a nice relaxed environment. With only 7 cabins (maximum 14 guests) the MV Camic is never overcrowded. Each evening, depending on your anchorage, the motor dinghy is available should you wish to explore one of the (now deserted) nearby beaches.

Your trip starts with a pick up from your Khao Lak hotel around 17:30 on the day of departure, returning approximately the same time on your return date. Once aboard you have only to pay for any non-complimentary drinks, all meals and snacks are included. The MV Camic has a spacious sundeck and dining area where you can relax between dives. The main eating and seating area is where all the meals are served, delicious Thai dishes and western food.
